
BOTOX PRE & POST CARE
PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Please review and follow these guidelines 7–14 days before your appointment, unless otherwise directed by your provider:

Eat a high-protein diet in the day of your procedure.

Arrive with a clean face — no makeup, lotion, sunscreen, or skincare products on the treatment area.

Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.

Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements for 7 days prior unless medically necessary. This includes:

Aspirin

Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)

Naproxen (Aleve)
-
Fish oil
-
Vitamin E
-
Turmeric
-
Garlic supplements
-

Do not schedule treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Postpone treatment if you have an active skin infection, rash, or illness near the treatment area.

Inform your provider if you have a history of:

Neuromuscular disorders
-
Previous adverse reactions to neurotoxins

Facial surgery within the last 6 months

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
For best results and safety, follow these instructions carefully after treatment:

Remain upright for at least 4 hours after injections. Do not lie flat.

Do not rub, massage, or apply pressure to the treated areas for 24 hours.

Avoid strenuous exercise, heavy sweating, or saunas for 24 hours.

Avoid alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment.
-
You may gently cleanse your face the evening of treatment, but avoid aggressive rubbing.

Makeup may be applied after 12 hours, unless otherwise instructed.

Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or headache may occur and typically resolves within 24–72 hours.

Results begin to appear within 3–5 days, with full effect seen at 10–14 days.

A follow-up or touch-up appointment may be recommended at 2 weeks to assess results.
